Ofcourse this article is upsetting and unpleasent to hear, but to me it was not to big of a shock. People still feel this way, and its very sad. Not saying all people feel this way but some do. Alot of simmiliarities bewtween Little Rock Nine and the Jena six. Involved education, school i feel should be a place to learn and somewhat to feel secure in, it shouldnt be a place of fear. Both of the students were of the same race. The Jena six were arrested for this incident and the Little Rock Nine were not allowed entry into Central Highschool. Both had happened in the same month just different years, you would figure these type of incidents would be stopped or avoided but still till this day kids face these types of problems everyday.

For my survey i did not get to ask these questions to all the races provided on the survey, i associate with all races and i dont mind but the people i had around me at the time were mainly white and hispanic.Maybe back then it would have seemed that the minorities were the ones not getting the education and that the whites had endless possibilities, but now a days i think its completely different. Everyone has an equal chance in my opinion. Not everywhere you go it is like that very few places though, but i believe the places and people i surround myself with it is and so should everyone else.

Door mat?

Without even reading this ad, just by looking at it you can see right away how it displays sexism. The man is clearly stepping all over the woman, she is being portrayed as a door matt or a rug you step all over. It cleary shows that woman have no say in anything, the men rule everything and can step all over the woman in business,eductaion, and even in their own home. Men control everything. The picture changes a saying to "waking all over women" to reality as a woman is portrayed as a rug and a man stepping on her! It implies that woman are weak and can do nothing but cater to the men and jut follow their orders.

Christmas morning in sunny Florida as well as cold. Waking up on Christmas morning with my family in our pajamas ready to open gifts. Mom comes upstairs to wish us a Meryy Christmas and to tell us goodmorning. She then opens blinds and in shock jumps up for joy. All my brothers and sisters wonder whats going on, we all jump out of bead and head to the window. We look out and what do we see?. Its snow, its everywhere! On the cars covering the streets. My family living in Florida had never seen snow before. All in awe staring out the window at the pretty fluffy white snow ready to get on our jackets, gloves and hats amd have a snowball fight and make snowmen and snow angels, something weve never been able to do. ahhh this was the best Christmas EVER!

Television and its messages

To young children television does not really have an impact, most dont really understand whats going on. As for teenagers all the reality shows, music videos, and comedy, has a horrible effect on teenagers, It sends the wrong message out no matter what you watch. Peer pressure is something almost every teenager goes through, if they see something on the televison and they see these celebrities doing something, their going to think its cool and t to try because "everyones doing it" so they THINK. Most teens feel like they need to be apart of the "IN" crowd and will do anything to fit in. Its hard to avoid these type of interactions because television is everywhere, so easy to get acces to. For the most part television has a very strong impact on todays society especially teens, but not in a good way.

The Survivors

Hearing these people stories, is a shock. Learning about the Holocaust, the concentration camps and the toture these people had to go through was difficult to hear about, but someone telling their own story about their experiences and the things they went through was very sad. I could not imagine having to live like that. Living in fear not knowing what will happen to you or what horrible task or thing you'd hav to experience next. Being apart from your family all that time, having to wonder if there ok, whether they are alive or not! I would not be able to do it. I would not want to even try to put myself in their shoes or think about how it was to live during this time, the survivors of the Holocaust are very courageous and should be praised for all they have been through and seen.

To all the principles and teachers who feel they need to hide things from their students about historyand keep us young adults out of the loop YOUR WRONG! The Rape of nanking was very deep and disturbing to hearr about however very true and something that needs to known to young adults (highschool students). The rape and deaths did not only happen back then things such as this our happenng in our world today. I feel not editing the history of this topic or any topic can probabley give kids more apreciation for the way they live and how things are although these types of things still exist today, it does not compare to back then between 250,00 to 300,00 people were killed! Thats insane. Now a days people die from a number of things. Those numbers you see are of people dying from the cause of the topic.

minding our own business

I feel that the US should not get involved in the interventions of some countries. The US is the peacemaker and always interfering. But if we were to step back and not help it would raise some eyebrows and many would wonder why the US isnt doing anything, it would be in the our best intrest to interfere however i feel other countries should stand on their own and deal with their conflicts themselves, however if they are not succesful in the process of helping themselves then the US could step in and try to help. The US shouldnt be the hero all the time. We have enough on our plate worrying about our own problems, we should not have to worry about other countries as well.

2 trials 2 men and a crime

Being a member of the CSI i was told that my task was to investigate the case of Sacco and Vanzetti. It is the year 1921, i have investigated many cases in the years of me working but this case and trial was the toughest by far. Sacco and Vanzetti were italian anarchist who were charged with murder during an armed robbery in South Braintree Massachusetts, He came to the united states at seventeen Both men were born in italy. Ferdinando Nicola Sacco born in Southern italy and on April 22, 1891 and died on August 23, 1927 vanzetti left italy and came to the united states at the agae of twenty Sacco and Vanzetti both came to the unites states in the year 1908, but both met years after coming to the U.S. in 1917. Luigi Galleani another italian anarchist was who Sacco and Vanzetti followed who was for violence played a role in Sacco and Vanzetties wrong doing im sure. The execution date for both these men was on August 23, 1927, they had 2 trials. Both trial were very long and time consuming, In this case it is very hard to defend criminals like Sacco and Vanzetti, there crimes are nothing minor. Although i believe the should have not ne defended Vanzetti was represented by an attorney John P. vahey. There was much evidence to prove what had happened, which was not to good for Sacco and Venzetti. Shotgun shells were found at the scene as well as shells found in Venzetti himself, although Venzettis descriptions were unsure the physical evidence was right on. After speaking and talking it over with Sacco, Vanzetti decided not to testify to his own defense. After hours of diliberation from the jury they had come to a clean concesus. Although during there diliberation they were unsure if the shell casings they had found on the crime scene and on Vanzetti were big enough to kill a person. Both Sacco and Vanzetti telling lies about what happened and where they were the time of the crime backfired, they thought it would help but unfortunatley there were witnesses on the scene and one witnesess had recognized him because of the strage passport picture he had presented. It was not good for Sacco and Vanzetti both sentenced for attempted robber a term of 12 to 15 years in prison. There were no excuses, lies or way to get aroud the Sacco and venzetti trial. There crimes were no secret nor was it an easy process very time consuming and tought with all the evidence and speculations. Sacco and Venzetti both got what they deserved no criminal should go unpunished for there wrong doing. I believe no criminal should be defended unless the crime is justified and there is a chance that they could be found not guilty.

Evolution or Religion?

John Scopes a biology teacher during the 1930's had went against the law and had been teaching his students the theory of evolution. Back then teachers were not aloud to teach or speak to there students about evolution, they were only to be taught religion. In todays time its different, now teachers are not at all suppose to preach or teach religion to there students, which i believe is correct, nor do i think evolution should be aloud to be taught or spoke aboutt. Teachers should not have an influence on a students belief, that is the parents job to guide there children to believing whatever they think is right. Religion is deep and can be a touchy subject, it is not appropriate for a teacher to be talking about religion or creation with a student, unless ofcourse you are in a christian or catholic school, that is what they are ment for. Students may take there opinions offensive or may not agree, teaching evolution or religion to students can stir up alot of trouble. I think it is best to keep opinions and beliefs about evolution or religion to yourself during school by not discussing it.

CRIME

In the small group presentations i have learned alot more then what i thought i knew. My group had the duo Bonnie and Clyde. i have heard of them before, knew they were criminals but did not know too much of there background and all the details like crimes they have commited, the time spent in jail or there early childhood. I would have never thought they would or ever be significant to history, but to my surprise our group came up with a great explanation to how they were significant. Bonnie and Clyde never gave up their crime life, life was always on the run and they stuck it out and stuck through it.

U.S & Germany

I feel the Germans played there role wrong and there wrong doing was threatning the U.S. U.s was furious i feel the Germans by passed the U.s and saw them as no threat although the U.s tone was more passive and more focused on the problem at hand they looked down on germany and vise versa. The germanys responce seemed like a solution and the ideas they had on the war

Threats and bombs

As for the prisoners nothing much can be done other than what is stated and already done handcuffing them is as far as we are allowed to go and read them there rights there is not much to do we will have to try a different approach other than threats and mistreating them. Some long and short terms repercussions would be that the squad can face criminal or felony charges, they can all very well all lose there jobs although mistreating them and threatning would be the only way to get through to the prisoners it is not allowed and can come with major consequences.

The wikileaks nonprofit organization who depends on nothing but donations from the public and is becoming a big problem. The founder of wikileaks is Julian Assange. Although important news papers feel wikileaks has changed news and even though Julian Assange was named the Readers Choice for TIME's Person of the year in 2010. I feel that the wikileaks organization is almost like stealing and taking confidential government documents. There is a reason for these documents not to be known and seen by the public. I feel the government should further try to find out a way to figure out who is behind all this, im sure the government can find and figure out anything. i feel this is illegal and whoever is doing this just see major consequences. However i think the government does hide important information from the public that we should be clued in on. Wikileaks could be a good thing and a bad thing. Maybe the government is trying to protect us from things occuring that we do not know about or things coming up that they may not want us to find out yet. The public may need to know the important information they are keeping hidden and not sharing. Some of this imformation people may feel is to confidential and may not want to know what is going on and others are not let know what is going on and feel good about the wikileaks and support it. This organization is causing contraversy all over, different idead and different opinions from every individual. Maybe that is the reason these documents have remains unheard of and unseen by the public. Alot of people may feel anger towards the government and may feel that they want to retaliate for all the news and documents the government may have kept from the public. The wikileaks organization is doing harm to the government could possibly be putting the country in danger. There are so many websites that provide wikileaks and and make it easy to access this informtation. So i feel the government should take more action and be more careful on the way they protect there documents and informtation they do not want leaked. It is there job to be on top of it and be aware and put a stop to it before it got out of hand and so big and open to the public. Wikileaks has its pros and cons alot of people will have very different opinions and views of this organization.
