Gladiator

Imperialism is a big role in alot of the things we see today. A movie that i have seen where i feel imperialism which is a strong nation taking over a weaker one would be gladiators. I feel gldiators shows imperialism because in the beginning of the movie the Roman empire was taking over Germania. The Romans were trying to take over Germania to expand there empire by taking over all the other countries. The Roman Empire was a form of government that had large territorial holdings In Europe and in other places. Early Rome was governed by kings but after 7 had ruled the romans took power and ruled themselves. Instead they had a senate. Roman Empire had 4 diffferent classes of people, the lowest class which were slaves, the next class was known as plebeians the middle class was known as equestrians and the highest class were known as the nobles. The Roman empire lasted almost 500 years. So as you can see the Roman empire was well put together and was a very strong empire. Germania consisted of many different tribes the majority were Germatic. The German system was important to the economy in germany, most of the Germans were farmers but alot of the population were herders. Some crops that were grown were weat, oats etc, Cattle hearding was very important. Germania as you can see does not seem as powerful and strong as the Roman empire but very much as well useful. This all relates back to the movie gladiators because as you have read you can see that the Roman Empire was a much stronger enemy than Germania and as in the movie the stronger ruled the weaker, and throughout history various problems have existed and imperialism has taken place between stronger countries and weaker countries.
